CyberExpoX returns for its second edition on Saturday 5 December 2026 at Crossroads Hotel, Blantyre. One full day of game development, esports and digital creativity, built on a simple belief: Malawi’s next big export can be its ideas.
Ideas that keep earning
Every game, character, soundtrack and story is intellectual property. You create it once, and it can keep earning in any market, without anything leaving Malawi. A song streams in Lagos. A game sells in Seoul. A character gets licensed in London. Each time, the value flows back to the people who made it.
CyberExpoX puts Malawian developers, artists, musicians and storytellers in the same room as studios, funders and international guests. The goal is more Malawian work that gets made, owned and protected by its creators, and more creators who know how to turn that ownership into income.
On the road to Malawi 2063
Malawi 2063 sets the goal of an inclusively wealthy, self-reliant nation with young people at its centre. Creative technology fits that vision well. It runs on skills more than capital, it creates the kind of jobs young people want, and its products can be sold anywhere in the world from a laptop in Blantyre. Every developer who finishes a game, and every artist who learns to protect their work, moves us a step closer.

- 9:00 AM · Developer workshop: From the Bedroom to the Studio, led by Tyrene Homolang Marule, CEO of Atrybute Graphics (South Africa)
- 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM · General entry: the expo floor opens to everyone
- Game developer showcase, featuring Relooted by Nyamakop
- Panel discussions with Choolwe Elen Shabukali (Zambia) and AR/VR developer Harry Banda (Zambia)
- Esports matches, cosplay contest and live music
- Social gaming, VR and sims, plus careers and youth talks
- Awards ceremony

General entry: MK15,000 early bird until Tuesday 1 December, then MK17,000.
Developer access: MK40,000, including the morning workshop and networking with our international guests.
