Are you a Malawian game developer? Take me straight to the submission form
CyberExpoX is your stage! We are calling on all independent Malawian game creators to showcase their talent and games at this exciting event on Saturday 29th November, 2025. This is a prime opportunity to get your work in front of an enthusiastic audience, potential collaborators, and industry peers.
📢 Here’s What You Need to Submit:
The primary requirement to secure your spot is an engaging visual presentation of your game:
- Game Trailer: A high-quality video (ideally 30 to 90 seconds) that captures the essence of your game. This is your biggest selling point!
- Focus on Gameplay: Show, don’t just tell. Feature exciting snippets of actual gameplay.
- Highlight the Core Hook: What makes your game unique and fun? Make that clear within the first 5-10 seconds.
- Use Great Audio: Music, sound effects, and, if applicable, voiceover should all be polished to professional standards.
- Include your Game Title & Studio Name: Make sure your branding is visible.
- Crucially, add a Call to Action: Mention where people can follow your progress (e.g., your social media handle, an itch.io/Steam page link).
💡 Pro-Tip for Indie Developers: What Else to Prepare
As indie developers, you want to make the most of this opportunity. Your submission should also include, if possible, some essential materials that make it easy for us and the press to feature your game:
- A Solid Game Description
- The Elevator Pitch: A one or two-sentence hook that instantly sells the game.
- Detailed Summary: A brief write-up (2-3 paragraphs) on the genre, story, core mechanics, and target platform(s).
- Visual Assets (Screenshots & Logo):
- High-Resolution Screenshots: 3-5 of your best, most visually appealing in-game moments (16:9 format is standard).
- Your Game and Studio Logos: Provide these in a clear, high-resolution format (PNG with transparent background preferred).
- An Up-to-Date Playable Demo Link (Recommended but Optional):
- While the trailer is mandatory for the initial showcase, providing a link to a stable, recent build (e.g., on a platform like itch.io or a private link) allows our team and interested parties to experience your game firsthand. Even a very short, polished vertical slice is better than nothing.
- Team/Contact Information:
- Primary Contact: Name, email, and phone number.
- Social Media Handles: Your studio’s primary social media links (Twitter/X, Facebook, etc.).
Other things to Note: AI use is most welcome, however an AI only made trailer with a non playable game will not be permissible. We might also request further information not listed here verification not listed here on case to case basis to our discretion.
